DIY: Ajaxx63-Inspired T-Shirt Cutting
This is our first post in our new Do-It-Yourself (DIY) series. Ever since our website revealed an Ajaxx63 model sporting a DIY cut tee, we've been getting a lot of questions about how to do this at home. So, here you have it: a step-by-step guide, thanks to EMENSHION, on how to turn a basic tee into an ultra sexy muscle shirt! Enjoy!
1.Find a slightly baggy t-shirt (you definitely don't want it to be too tight). We suggest sticking to a regular crew neck or ringer neck; V-necks don't really work with this style.
2.You're going to need to make 4 notch marks - two on each side - where you want to start and finish your cut. The top notch marks will ultimately determine how much coverage the shirt provides. For example, cutting closer to the neck will reduce the coverage. We suggest starting the cut about 1.5" to 2" away from the neck, measured from the rib collar (the green collar in these photos). The bottom notch will determine the depth of the cut; the lower the cut, the looser the fit.
3.Time for the actual cutting process! Start at the top notch and work your way down. To achieve the best shape, the cut should look like a "J". This means that the first 2/3 of the cut should be pretty straight, and the final 1/3 should curve out to meet the bottom notch. Don't worry about making the perfect cut - as long as you stick to the basic shape, you'll be just fine!
